Fire & Rescue Demonstration

This morning all six of Lower Merion Township's fire companies gathered together at the training grounds to demonstrate our capabilities to the Board of Commissioners and other township VIPs. Dog Rescue From Storm Drain

BHFC, April 21

Rescue 22 was in service today in Penn Valley for nearly 3 hours while firefighters worked to free a dog that become stuck in a private residential rainwater management drain. Rescuers deployed a camera from the Township Sewer Department to inspect the drain, and then worked to free the dog while he fought with a racoon who coincidentally was also stuck.
